Sneak Preview: The Invisible Bar Block

A New Hidden Toolbox for the Kitchen
This is a sneak preview, prior to release, of the second of six new islands we are releasing this year. The first was The Diplomat, launched in March: a winner of the Red Dot design award. This second island is both a standalone product that will be available within any project, as well as by itself as a Primary Object. It represents our never-ending quest for the ultimate combination of beauty and performance. We developed this toolbox as an option, or an addition, to our horizontal and vertical Bar Blocks, which serve a similar purpose but are more open and visible in the kitchen.
Within this island is a toolbox, hidden from view by an easy-to-open, soft-close lid integrated into the counter.
This prototype is installed in our new preview space in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn, located in the historic Stable building at 16 Main Street.
This toolbox can carry eight different “toolholders” in any sequence or combination you choose. You can optimize the toolbox for whatever you want to do at the island: serving, prep, drink-making, and more.
Each component is modular and interchangeable, both within the toolbox and with the regular drawers throughout your Henrybuilt kitchen. Components include knife blocks, flatware blocks, cutting boards, napkin and oil storage containers, utensil blocks, and spice storage.
The island is outfitted with a new, hand-mortised pull design, which will be released with the island and available for all projects.
If you’d like more information about these new products, please get in touch with your primary contact at Henrybuilt, and they will be happy to help you.
