From Bank Vault to Chic Apartment
A Modern Luxury Kitchen Renovation with Elizabeth Roberts Architects

Architecture and Interior Design by Elizabeth Roberts Architects
Contractor: Bednarz Construction
A 100-year old Italian High Renaissance Style bank building. A new developer condo. A young family. And, an immovable bank vault, to boot.
To marry these elements, the clients engaged architect Elizabeth Roberts. She transformed the developer apartment into a home that reflected the owners' personality and the building’s refined exterior.
As part of the effort to elevate the interior to a new level of sophistication – not just in how it looked, but how it worked – the team collaborated with Henrybuilt.

AN INTRODUCTION TO HENRYBUILT KITCHEN SYSTEMS
Roberts is known for her ability to design spaces that are livable, elegant, and eclectic. Tying past and present in a uniquely balanced manner.

Henrybuilt’s flexible design and products supported that goal. Lighthearted ingredients - from the round pulls to the step down of the wall units and the play of light and dark - blend with the luxurious feel to humanize the kitchen.

ARCHITECTS & DESIGNERS: LEARN HOW TO PUT HENRYBUILT'S THREE BRANDS TO WORK FOR YOU IN FLEXIBLE WAYS
The kitchen is warmed by the small details, including brass knobs that patina with the touch of the hands, and by the personalized rich color.
Henrybuilt’s flexibility was also put to work navigating structural challenges of the original bank vault.
Like the items tucked away in the vault, it’s what's you can't see in the kitchen that has the biggest value.
The ease of how it works, how it feels, how it supports the ways the clients cook, clean, and socialize. Even where the kids grab their favorite snacks.
